I listened to the Morning Announcements podcast

...and now I refuse to begin my drive to work any other way.

    Sami Sage is the it-girl of morning news. There is no comparison. The writing of this show is top-notch, but her delivery is what makes listening to the news something I actually look forward to. Also, Sammie has single-handedly changed my reputation into someone who is knowledgeable about what is happening in the world, or as she puts it- ”now I know what the f*ck is going on.” Not kidding, though, I can now engage in conversation by contributing enough facts about any news someone might bring up to seem like I keep up with everything and genuinely impress my boss all the time. 

    The podcast is very short, between 3-5 minutes long. It covers all important news, whether legal, political, health, science, social, etc. Sami gives a headline (that is notably unbiased and straightforward) then explains why that headline is important in just a few sentences. She finishes off with a witty quip which honestly makes the entire story memorable and is why I love her. Sami speaks in a classic valley-girl tone (and slight Northeastern accent?) that I can easily relate to. The podcast leans liberal but isn’t giving the ridiculous spin you see on most big networks-it just entertainingly presents the raw facts. So, wherever you may fall on the political spectrum, this is a good podcast for you.

    Rating: 10/10- Hands-down the best--and only one I’ll ever listen to again--news podcast out there. For a quick run down in the morning that covers all the bases, the Morning Announcements will entertain you while upping your credibility as a responsible adult.
