I went to the Porch
no better way to spend a Tuesday night than worshiping with thousands of 20-30 year olds!

The Porch had always been somewhat elusive to me in that I knew a lot of people that had gone, yet could never find anyone to go with. So I made a friend on Bumble BFF and we met up here.
Overall, it is a very upbeat service and it tackles common problems people in our age group face- dating, anxiety, doubt, etc. I was expecting a 30 minutes to an hour worship service heavy on the devotional side of things, and I was a little off. All in all, we were there an hour and a half, so make sure you know that when you’re scheduling that in. The message itself is about an hour and that comes after singing several songs and prayer. I felt like the leaders (I heard JD speak) were really talented- he was clearly knowledgable about the Bible and had great insight on the topic.
I had a great time and think this really filled up my spiritual tank when I needed it in particular. If you are looking for somewhere to bring friends that may not be too sure of the gospel yet, this would be a great place based on energy and message (but make sure they can handle the duration.) On the time commitment, I totally might just be old, but getting home around 9:30 for me is pretty late to go through my nighttime routine and get ready for the following day. However, since I went with Hayley, I started listening to the podcast version during the week (and have even gone back to listen to some of the older ones, which are also great!) as that works better with my schedule.
Rating: 8/10- great message and service, just an inconvenient time for me.
